Reclaiming Your Peace

Have you ever felt that everything was going so great, you had a wonderful connection with God, your family was as strong as ever, your friends were becoming an extra connection of peace, when all of a sudden one word is said and all “HELL” breaks loose?  Now, you feel defeated, as if you know God is there and He will take care of everything, but you want to take care of it all.  You want the madness to end and waiting on the Lord will take too long.

In the mist of this madness, the Lord is still there. He knows what you are going through and He places people, things, and words in your life that you have to adhere to in order for the madness to end.  Do you want your peace back or are you going to hold on to madness?  What is more beneficial to you?  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).

Some of you would say that “taking care of things my way will let me release the anger, the hurt, and the hatred I have inside”, but will that make you a better person or truly make you feel better?  Remember that your anger will bring hurt to others and that is not what the Lord wants from us.  In order to regain your peace in the situation, we have to learn to wait on the Lord.  He will overcome anything for those who serve Him with a pure and humble heart.  Remember that we have to get broken before we are blessed so that we can bless others in the process.  Give that battle to Lord and only to Him.  Allow Him to help you break through and give you the peace you need to move forward.  … brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you” (2 Corinthians 13:11).
