We’ve all been in there. Standing
in front of the mirror, feeling bloated, wondering where our skinny waist went,
deciding on the next hair style, the next outfit, or the next something that
will make us feel good. But did you know
that God considers you his masterpiece?
The word says that we are ‘fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm
139:14). In fact, Ephesians 2:10 says: “For
we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do
the good things he planned for us long ago.”
Beyond the
superficial, God created us with a plan.
You may think you were a mistake or the result of a careless act, but
God has a plan for you. You didn’t catch
him by surprise. Check out what Psalm 139:
15-16 says: “My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret
place. When I was woven together in the
depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in
your book before one of them came to be.” So don’t let social pressure or
negative thoughts steer you away from your determined purpose. Be the best you that you can be! After all,
there is none like you!
God gave you
the gift of life so what will you do with it?
Will you waste time feeling down about yourself or fervently pursue him
to accomplish all he has in store for you?
Remember, “What you are is God’s gift to you. What you do with yourself
is your gift to God” -Leo Buscaglia. So get out there and live out your
purpose!
