Hopefully, you took the time to put in your vote for
this year’s elections. It’s fascinating
to go through the process of doing your research on the candidates and proposed
amendments, and then make your selection.
And to think that many nations don’t have the privilege that we take for
granted; the freedom and right to vote!
Although, we have this great benefit, we can’t lose focus of who our
trust should rest upon.
Engraved on our coins, we have the words “In God We
Trust.” This should continue to be our focus regardless of who is in
office. We need to pray for the leaders
of this nation so that the decisions made are truly for the people and in line
with the word of God. Psalm 33:12 says “Blessed is the nation whose God is the
Lord.”
So lets join in prayer for this nation. Pray for God's mercy and blessing to continue. "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
