Have
you ever been out with someone and you see a word, a sign, a symbol, and you
know it’s from the Lord? He is giving you the opportunity to open up your mouth
and speak; speak to that friend, family member, or co-worker about Him. It’s happened to me.
Many
times I’ve been caught up by life or have been too scared to bring up the topic
of being a Christian and loving God. Why
is that? Allow yourself, at that moment,
to feel God’s presence, let God direct your path, and ask Him for some wisdom
so that when you speak those who are listening to you will hear him. In Exodus 4:15, it says, “You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I will help both
of you speak and will teach you
what to do.”
These
are missed opportunities that we let pass by because we are scared or think
about the what-if’s. What if my
friendship is lost? What if my co-worker thinks I am weird? God allows these
opportunities to happen because at that time there is a need; a need for these
lives to hear about His work, His presence and His love. “My
mouth will speak words of wisdom; the meditation of my heart
will give you understanding” (Psalm 49:3). Think about it, and be blessed the next time an
opportunity arises.
